Saturday 5 September 2026 for Spa Sessions, a unique beer festival experience set within the stunning surroundings of Cheltenham’s historic Pittville Pump Room.

Bringing together some of our favourite independent breweries from across the UK, Spa Sessions is a carefully curated celebration of great beer, great food and great company. Whether you’re a seasoned beer enthusiast or simply looking for a fantastic day out, you’ll discover an outstanding range of beers to explore, from modern craft favourites to classic styles and everything in between.

The festival takes place across two sessions:

Afternoon Session
11:30am – 4:00pm (last orders 3:30pm)

Evening Session
5:30pm – 10:00pm (last orders 9:30pm)

Alongside the beer, a hand-picked selection of food trucks and local vendors will be serving delicious food throughout the day, ensuring the perfect accompaniment to your festival experience.

For those looking to make the most of their visit, a limited number of VIP tickets will be available. VIP guests will enjoy early entry, exclusive brewery talks and guided tastings, plus access to a dedicated VIP lounge area with seating.

Beer will be available in a range of measures, allowing you to sample as much or as little as you like, all served in a commemorative branded festival cup to take home.

Spa Sessions is proud to support two outstanding local charities: National Star and Cheltenham Samaritans, helping the festival make a positive contribution to the local community.

The celebrations don’t stop at the festival itself. Throughout the week leading up to Spa Sessions, a programme of fringe events, including Meet the Brewer evenings and Tap Takeovers, will take place across the area. Follow Gloucestershire Beer Week channels for the latest announcements.

Tickets are available from just £15 plus booking fee. Gather your friends, discover incredible beer and experience one of Cheltenham’s most exciting new festival events.

Event Details

Join us on Saturday 24 October for a relaxed day of great beer, real cider and good company as we visit two outstanding Good Beer Guide pubs in Dursley.
Our day begins at The Old Spot, a former National Pub of the Year. This charming 18th-century free house takes its name from the famous Gloucestershire Old Spot pig and offers a wonderfully traditional atmosphere, complete with low ceilings, a welcoming wood-burning fire and an impressive collection of brewery memorabilia. It serves up to eight regular real ales and is an excellent place to enjoy lunch before the afternoon’s activities.
Just a four-minute walk away is The Hoptician, an award-winning micropub that opened in May 2024 in the former premises of a local optician – hence its distinctive name. Five carefully selected beers are served alongside locally produced real ciders, with additional outdoor seating available for fine weather.
At 5.00pm, we will present The Hoptician with the West Central CAMRA Regional Cider Pub of the Year Award.
Travel & Timings
There are regular train services to Cam & Dursley station from both Cheltenham and Gloucester. From the station, Dursley is approximately three miles away and can be reached by the Stagecoach 65 bus or by sharing a taxi with fellow attendees.
  • 12.00–2.00pm – Meet at The Old Spot
  • 5.00pm – Regional Cider Pub of the Year presentation at The Hoptician
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an enjoyable social afternoon celebrating two excellent pubs and the very best of real ale and cider.
Brett Laniosh – Regional Director
Andrea Bennett – Regional Cider Coordinator
Peter Bennetts – Area & County Coordinator

Event Details

KBCF is Back!
After a year’s break in 2025, we are delighted to announce the return of the Kidderminster Beer & Cider Festival. It will take place from Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th November 2026, and again we will be at the Kidderminster Harriers Social & Supporters Club.
As one of relatively few CAMRA festivals taking place in the final months of the year, we would be grateful if you could share this good news with your branch e.g. via newsletter or other comms.
The festival webpage at https://www.wyreforest.camra.org.uk/viewnode.php?id=221189 will be developed further in coming weeks.
Advanced ticket sales – including free entry for CAMRA members – are live at Kidderminster Beer & Cider Festival 2026 – Tckty.
We can only run the festival with the help of our amazing volunteers, who greet visitors, keep everyone safe and of course serve the beers and other drinks. Please consider volunteering at: https://form.jotform.com/261314247188357. Festivals are a great opportunity to come together to promote CAMRA and enjoy real ales, ciders and perries.
We hope to see you in November. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please get in touch with us at volunteer@wyreforest.camra.org.uk.
