It is with great sadness that we have to pass on the news that Cheltenham branch committee member John Pickles passed away at the weekend.
John was a committee member since the formation of the branch and was most recently membership secretary. He was heavily involved in the organisation of the Cheltenham Real Ale Festivals and always supported the Christmas charity singalongs. He was an original ale ambler and always a lot of fun. He will be missed.
Our thoughts are with his wife Susan and all his family.
Update –
John’s funeral will be held on Friday 25 July at 1 pm at Prestbury Crematorium at (Oak Chapel). Susan has requested that you wear bright colours, if you are comfortable with this. She realises some people would be happier in black. It is your choice.
